This planer/peeler is an excellent way to square up the leather edges and have a flat even surface for burnishing or applying edge paint. Simply adjust the blade with a twist of the screw to the preferred depth and the flat edge will keep you consistent in only removing small amount at a time until the entire edge is flat.
