Made in Switzerland and manufactured from high-carbon steel, this precision hand file offers guaranteed quality and superb cutting. The half round file is rounded on one side and flat on the other, allowing it to be used on either convex or concave surfaces.

To achieve best results it is recommend to cut only on the forward stroke and not on the return stroke as this will undo any smoothing. Always begin with the coarsest file suitable for the job and work through to the finest, with the option of moving onto a needle file if required.

The coarser the file the more metal is removed. Files are graded as below:
Cut 000 – Very Coarse
Cut 00 – Coarse
Cut 0 – Coarse/Medium
Cut 1 – Medium
Cut 2 – Medium/Fine
Cut 3 – Fine
